Naila Aslam, O.D.
Dr. Aslam is a licensed optometrist accepting new patients in the Sanford, Kennebunk, and Waterboro offices. Dr. Aslam offers complete comprehensive eye exams, contact lens exams for regular and bifocal contact lenses, and specialty contact lens fits for irregular corneas. She evaluates and treats dry eyes with a variety of treatment options.
Dr. Aslam accepts Medicare, EyeMed, Anthem and a variety of other insurance providers.
Dr. Aslam has been practicing optometry since 1993. She received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University with a major in Biology, and a minor in Microbiology. She completed her doctorate from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. During her optometric education, she received the William Barrett Memorial Scholarship from the Omni Eye Services for clinical proficiency, and the NECO Literature Research Recognition Award for literary writing in the field of contact lenses.
She completed her optometric rotations with honors through Brighton Marine Public Health Center, Dorchester House Multi-Service Health Center, and The Phoenix Omni Eye Services-Barnett Dulaney Eye Center. She has previously practiced for many years in Brooklyn, NY, and Portsmouth, NH.
Dr. Aslam is a member of the American Optometric Association, Seacoast Science Center, and a second term active board member for the Town of Sanford Board of Appeals. Dr. Aslam enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and extended family. She enjoys reading, cooking, and growing hydrangeas in her garden.
